When someone asks you, what is your talent? What would you answer? I would say one of my biggest talents is understanding people. And I don’t mean that in terms of basic understanding, I mean, I really get people- On an empathetic level.
Maybe I’m an empath, but I truly feel other people’s pain or happiness when they are around me. Maybe it’s an energy thing. However, hidden talents are things that some might not expect you to be good at. What is your hidden talent?
My hidden talents:
- Tying a cherry stem with my tongue.
- Read a book in a day.
- Bake pretty much anything.
- Cook gourmet meals on the cheap.
- Attract any dog (The animal, not men.).
- Dance like a champ.
And the one which is mostly hidden and the one I’m proud of the most?
Bitch, I can SANG.
I adore music. I love singing. I wish it were my career, my life. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do- And I love my job. But music… If I could be in a red dress, a smoky jazz bar with a standing microphone and a blues band- I would have made it. If it weren’t for my crippling fear of failure and my anxiety, maybe I could have stood a chance.
What is your hidden talent? Which one of those are you scared of people mocking you for? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one with this kind of predicament. So, in some form of exposure, I’m going to let you hear my singing voice. I am awfully nervous to put it out there. Perhaps by me doing this (small) gesture, you’ll have the courage to put yourself out there too. Even it’s just over the internet.
